The Raleigh
MIAMI MARKET UPDATE: THE RALEIGH × COMPASS
The Raleigh isn’t “just another condo tower.” It’s a true Miami Beach icon—an Art Deco legend—now entering its next chapter with Rosewood-branded residences and restored historic hotel elements.
New ownership: Nahla Capital acquired the Raleigh site (reported ~$270M) and is moving the project forward with clear intent.
New sales + marketing lead: Compass is now guiding the go-to-market strategy.
The bigger picture: Rosewood + The Raleigh name + oceanfront positioning = a global-buyer magnet, and another reminder that Miami Beach trophy assets continue to attract serious capital even in a more selective market.
Re-introducing The Raleigh, A Rosewood Hotel and Residences:
Originally constructed in the 1940s by famed Miami architect L. Murray Dixon, The Raleigh returns with a highly anticipated revival and restoration. Located at 1775 Collins Avenue, the re-imagined, three-acre retreat with 220 feet of ocean frontage in the heart of Miami’s vibrant Art Deco district will feature three distinct components designed by famed architect and frequent SHVO collaborator Peter Marino: a 60-room and suite hotel managed by Rosewood, entirely restored and elegantly modernized with ultra-luxury service and amenities; Rosewood Residences Miami Beach, a newly constructed 17-story oceanfront tower featuring 44 residences and timeless architecture; and a private member’s club offering beachfront dining and leisure.
Embracing the same innovative spirit of the properties’ original architect, the redevelopment of the combined three-acre site will return The Raleigh as a symbol of style and luxury in Miami Beach and worldwide.
Miami Beach’s iconic hotel, Raleigh, will join Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ unmatched collection following a full restoration led by renowned real estate developer SHVO. By taking over the adjacent hotels, Rosewood will have enough space to create multiple dining venues, a full-scale spa, and three new rectangular pools designed with custom mosaic art along the bottoms. Celebrated architect and interior designer Peter Marino has been selected to helm the property’s highly anticipated restoration, embracing the vibrant neighborhood’s Art Deco District and the property’s storied past. A members-only beach club with rambling gardens filled with Les Lalanne’s sheep sculptures connecting it to Raleigh’s neighboring hotels, the South Seas, and the Richmond, altogether making up a three-acre site for all the amenities required of a modern-day urban resort.
Rosewood Residences Miami Beach is in the heart of South Beach. Its location puts you steps from the shops, restaurants, and bars on Lincoln Road. By car, Rosewood Residences Miami Beach is 20 minutes from Wynwood Miami, 25 minutes from Brickell, and 30 minutes from Miami International Airport.
